If I could start a habit that I think would be most successful and useful in the classroom and in my teaching career, it would be "begin with the end in mind". I think that if you develop practices to help to establish daily, weekly , six week and yearly goals then it would make it so much easier to acomplish what you need to meet the educational needs of the students. I am certian that this cannot be accomplished in the two weeks that this experiement is asking, but you can start to take steps to be able to eventually reach the desired level of satisfaction. Also to teach your students what it takes to achieve high grades. This habit or goal is one that I am sure could be an ongoing learning experience, but one that you can build on daily.
This week is going to be a long week for sure, the kids are excited about going on spring break next week. There is also a day next monday that this county celebrates, its called "tater day" . It used to be a trade day celebration, but it has grown into a weekend ful of carnivals and flea markets and ends with a parade on Monday. All of the kids get excited about this day. It is a tradition that has lasted for nearly 125 years.
