This week has been a good experience . I have learned a great deal about keeping the classroom in order. My supervising teacher is so wonderful. I wish I could have been with her for the entire time. This is her last year, she is retiring after this year. She has taught for 23 years. She has so much give in the way of advise and expertise. She is always giving me little tidbits of wisdom that she has learned over the years. I am sure the school will miss her when she retires. In regards to the assignment this week about interviewing the librarian. The school library has almost all the latest forms of technology available. For the students they have access to the internet to do research for the various assignments they might have to do. They of course have a large selection of books and resources for the students as well. For teachers there is a selection of educational videos to incorporate into the curriculum. Also there is a teacher resource library for things such as classroom management, rubric designs , vocabulary strategies, and other tools to assist the teacher in the classroom. For instance, if a teacher is going to have their students study a certian time period especially in Social Studies when a teacher is studying a specific time period, the librarian can collect and gather trade books to fit the subject that the teacher wishes to use. The librarian also assist the students in video projects, such as creation of the morning news reports.
