Thursday, Feb. 12
Today was not such a good day. My lesson plan was not real great, I was focusing on tomorrow when I am to be observed. This was only my third day in front of the classroom, and I got really nervous today. My lesson plan didn’t go the way I wanted it to. This made me realize the importance of good lesson plans. I learned that if you don’t think it through all the way then you might end up falling on your face. I am learning so much from my supervising teacher about how to put a lesson together. I think this was just nerves working on me. Hopefully after tomorrow I will get the nerves out of my system.

Friday, Feb. 13
Today is the day, Friday the 13th, Observation day. I was busily getting some last minute things together, and the nerves weren’t getting to me but as the time neared I could feel them taking over. I thought I had the lesson down pretty well, but I still was uneasy about it. Then the hour came. Dr Gibson got there early. She talked with me about what to expect from the evaluation. The Sixth Period class that she was to be observing is a rowdy group of individuals. Even my ST has more trouble with them than he does with the other classes, so I knew going in my classroom management evaluation was going to suffer. I was right. Then to top it all off, we had a fire drill right in the middle of the class. So I had to try to get them settled down again and regain control. I made it through somehow and felt that I pulled it off fairly well. I still have a long way to go to get there, but I know I can make it.
